Beth Wilkes of Seance Stitches creates haunting embroidered artwork inspired by Death, Folklore, Witchcraft and Victorian Spiritualism. An unconventional upbringing as a homeschooled only child, dwelling in a converted chapel in the remote English countryside heightened her natural predilection for the gothic and macabre and turned it into a lifelong obsession. When she is not lurking around in graveyards, she can be found creating intricately embroidered pieces, often enhanced with beadwork, scavenged bones and Victorian Cabinet cards.
